Our committee work follows the efforts of the
Distinctive Identity Task Force created as part of
the Strategic Planning Process that occurred during
the spring of 2003 through the fall of 2003. This
implementation process will be ongoing during the
next 5 years.
SFASU Distinctive
Identity Today:
SFASU is just the right size and is a beautiful
place for students to grow into their futures. We
offer the diversity of academic programs and
extracurricular experiences found at large
universities but still provide individualized
attention to students. SFASU offers students the
total university experience by immersing the
student in a total learning environment. (more

Identity Tomorrow:
In the next few years we will further enhance
our distinctive identity by focusing our attention
on the masteries with which SFASU grads will
leave college. SFASU has committed to giving our
graduates masteries in the areas of: communication,
creative problem solving, career preparation, and
